Very fine discovery this 1969 born English composer is to me! I have to admit to have expected much more modern music than I personally can tolerate at this year of the composers' birth. But I have been surprised in a positive sense in that the composer rather orientates himself on the British tradition of the 1920s and does not try to compete with - of course honorable - composers like Boulez or Ligeti. In that sense, I highly recommend this album, a wonderful extension of my musical horizon, thank's a lot!
